The first game in the 2D series is a groundbreaking roguelike. There’s multiple characters, branching paths and many items to find and use. If I had to make a list of fundamental video games everyone should play, Spelunky would undoubtedly be on it. Along the way they have to avoid traps, watch out for enemies and amassing as much gold as possible. In both games, players must navigate their way through a series of randomly generated dungeons. Roguelike platforming games Spelunky & Spelunky 2 will both land on the Nintendo Switch on August 26, it’s been announced.
